Hydropower that uses drinking water
With the right measures, a hydropower plant can also be supplied with drinking water. In this case, in 2013, we built two cascaded hydropower plants on a drinking water pipeline. Fitted with a high-pressure Pelton turbine, the plants are connected to the medium-voltage grid and have a fibre-optic connection that extends more than two kilometres. The plants can be managed locally or remotely.
