Interconnected building automation systems include both hardware and software. In 2015 a major hospital clinic asked us to realise a system that could regulate and monitor its heat generation, refrigeration and ventilation systems. We therefore built a system regulated by customised automation software using nine programmable controllers interfaced with a BACnet (Building Automation and Control Networks) protocol that can manage over 6,000 data points.
